I know how to check what the height is of a matrix you have just made in DBPro there and then but i don't know how to do the same thing with a matrix i have created in another program - the program im using is T.Ed. I have imported the terrain as a .X file and it is only a terrain no plants, trees or anything else in it.

I would really appreciate any help you can give me with this because i can't work it out and it won't be much good if my player can walk straight through the terrain even when there is a hill in the way.

using sparky's .dll is your best bet..you can set up collision for the entire level with just a few lines of code...
