Has anybody made a swinging ax that hangs from the ceiling or does anybody know how?

I made the model and the animation but do I set the script to a weapon or character?

In this case you set the object to be just a dynamic entity. Then if the character is within a certain distance from the axe and if the axe is at a certain frame, then you could have the player recieve damage or death.

Seeing heltor's stuff, I'm pretty sure he'll release one in his pack. Along with a million other medieval torture devices. Just be patient

i really would love to have that model... we would have a new genre called "gauntlet" where you have to go through boobie traps and everything so this would unlock tons of new game ideas

@Anja Viotile- That model looks letal. Although it needs some blood splatter spots on the axe part.

Anja if you need any help on your website like some simple flash or banners. I design websites at www.webstar-designs.com maybe we could trade for some FPSC script, and post it here for everybody to use.

My model is just a quick put together just to test the scripting. After the script is done then ill get more detail in designing the ax.

Anyway I’ll still be working on this and it will be uploaded here all for free.

Ok here is the free open source FPSC ready Swinging-ceiling ax.

If you want to improve it please upload your improvements here for all of us to use.

If we all work on this we could come up with a good trap for medieval or haunted house games.

Note!
The animation script is a modified version of Anja Viotile’s animation script.

If you want the MilkShape 3D file used to make the ax let me know

You need a FPI script to run your model and you need a model for your script, so it could be posted in a few different places in the forum. Open source is for the script and the MilkShape 3D file to see the model and animation.

Don’t post here unless it has something to do with AX or the code
