This is the only plce I could think of to ask this, but...

I\'ve been having a bit of trouble with google video. I want to download Red VS Blue season 1 off GV. I have done that, and the video is in, apparently, MP4 format (MPEG4?).

Anyway, i\'ve tried opening this, but it gives me the usual \"windows cannot open this file\". All I want to do is convert it to a WMV, AVI, or something like that. Some help would really be appreciated.

Quicktime can play MP4 files. Also if you buy Quicktime pro, you will be able to convert the file.

I hate quicktime. Windows media is the best! (unless you downloaded a brand new version and it crashes your pc)

I hate both. MS and Apple, making formats only _their_ player can play, how rude. So i use VLC player. It doesn't play everything but it does play most formats.

Aye, I use VLC in ubuntu, fantastic player.

I use wmp in vista, but I prefer to watch any media in ubuntu, so wmp mainly plays music.
