Newcomers DBPro Corner / Set Shadow Shading On = Failure

I wanted to see if I could get objects to cast realtime shadows, so I tried using the Set Shadow Shading On command here:



First, I want to confirm that this makes the object CAST a shadow like I think it does. And is it realtime?

I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 which SHOULD have PS and VS 1.4. The program runs fine, just no shadow as far as I can tell...

Any help?

Usually it should work fine, but sometimes you need to add a light to get a stronger more visible shadow. Personally I would use a shader for shadows as the DBPro shadows have hard edges and are very resource intensive.

Ok... I searched and saw some info about EVOLVED's shadow shader... that any good? And if it is, where do I get it? I'm fine with using others as well.

I have that, but which shader do I use?

EDIT: Ok, I went and tested this on a better graphics card and it worked. Unfortunately my card doesn't. Is there a... shader shader that uses a lower pixel and vertex shader?
