Is it really impossible to change the thread title for normal users?

You're able to do that on all the "Invision power board"-forums, so why not here. Could be useful for game updates, corrections and so on...

Will something like that come in the future?

Thanks.

Because, it could get past approval, then the guy could change it to something inappropriate.

The mods have that power, yes, but not the regular users for reasons stated above.

Why do people write MOD? Do the letters stand for something?

Due to their shiny yellow badge, Benjamin, which also uses capitalized letters.

There's a reason Mod rhymes with both Sod and God. Split personalities, yes?

i could but if i change everything including the name everyone will get confused because they clicked on a topic which is Game xyz and theres lots of replies to Conewar. It will be almost a completely different game, so cant i just make another topic for it? and you delete or lock the old one?

They capitalize it so they sound more intimidating.

ex.
The mod locked my topic.
"mod" sounds like an annoying little flea in this example.

The MOD locked my topic.
"MOD" sounds like a scary god that will eat you if you call him a flea (see above) in this example.

Teh MOD lockded my topic.
In this example, the guy is probably ten and can't spell.

EDIT: No humor intended.

Not a joke, but not serious.
I'm not going to judge the age, just saying that when there are kids around they lack the maturity to bother spelling and using proper grammer etc. They CAN, but don't bother to.

This was a triumph.
I'm making a note here, HUGE SUCCESS...
