Hi,

I received this e-mail today about getting a free iPhone from killerkane23@gmail.com. I noticed aswell tha RickV and Lee got it aswell. Does anyone know who this guy is? I was really annoyed to get this. I would want an iPhone, but not from a user on a forum who cant even spell!

I'm not sure if you can open it, it was saved in Windows Mail (Not Outlook Express!)

Always a good idea to reply to spam so that they know that your e-mail address is valid so they can send more spam there.

iPhone spam mail, I got it too...I don't take any notice of the buggers, some get through the spam filter and about 2000 haven't...but I'm sure posting my email address everywhere helps - seppuku05@gmail.com. But I get masses of spam anyway, so I don't care (as long as my account isn't hacked, but then my passwords tend to be made of only nonsense I understand)

I got it, so I asked them to stop using contact page that Batvink posted... using killerkanes email address, adding his referrer ID, and then adding a around 40KB of random spam-text too.

You are quite within your rights to ask them to stop the spam (even if someone else is doing it on their behalf), and this is the way I chose.

If I get another, they'll get a few MB of text next time.

I got one of those in hotmail about 15 but instead of just deleteing the I marked it as unsafe aka blocked senders, haven't got one from the same guy.

Damn SOBs!!! Ive been hit by more spam, one that i dont even belong to. It was a PayPal spam and i dont even have paypal! Plus, it clearly shows the email address as paypal@servic.com

Yes I collect Imperial Guardsmen, there ok once you build them up into a army(I got over 250 points, I know that for sure)
But I also use to have space marines, I also got Dawn of war(I nearly said dawn of water, *hehe*)And firewarrior.

He brought it up 5867Dude because the e-mail contained MANY TGC users including me. Maybe there's some connection to a user here or maybe there's some kind of security feature that could be added to prevent our addresses getting out.

One I personally got tonnes of spam SINCE i added my address on here
And spam can go to thousands of people at once so no surprise it got to some people on this forum.

You know eany one of us could be KillerKane because just because his/her email is KillerKane doesn't mean their name is killerKane for all we know First Company Veteran could be killerkane just using a different email for his/her account
