Is there a way to make the weapon invisible in your HUD???
I tried replacing all of the textures with ones wich are true black, but then my weapon is entirely black.
On the other hand, when I try to replace the texture with one that has a text on a true black background, then indeed I get an invisible weapon but with pieces of text here and there, as it should be.
What must I do to get a completely invisible weapon?

Please help.

...easiest way I've found to get 100% transparent, is to create a .png, where true black (r=0,g=0,b=0) is set as transparent.

Since you'd be texturing the entire model with it, you could generate a 64x64 texture, and it'd work just fine...

I already have a .dds image wich is 64x64.
Would it work if I convert it to .png?
Im sorry but I dont know how to create a .png image, can you tell me wich program should I use?

Edit: the .dds 64x64 image I have is true black

I converted the .dds true black 64x64 image to .png, and now when I replaced the .dds image files with this one, the weapon is all white
note: I replaced ALL of the image files in the weapon folder:
ammo_D2
ammo_I
gun_D
gun_D2
gun_I
gun_N
gun_S
Am I doing something wrong?
Please can anyone instruct me on how to make the HUD weapon model invisible?

You need to assign the texture in the gunspec. just change the extension where it says gun_d.dds to gun_d.png.

I did that and now the weapon is still white while not picked up, and black when picked up(in the HUD)

What am I missing?

I it OK now, I solved it!
I used another 0,0,0 black texture, only bigger(512x512)
I will attach it, so everybody can use it to make things invisible
Here ya go...
