One of my favourite themes in videogames, is roleplaying drunkards. I don't know why, but I find it quite fun, and quite a challenge to do it right.
Of course, you can always role play a drunkard, but I find it quite difficult to tell in which games you can get drunk, and get some kind of visual effect.
So, let's make a list of games (specially rpgs) in which you can get drunk.

1-Everquest.
2-Fable.
3-Lord of the Rings Online.
4-Everquest 2.

You can get drunk in oblivion without a mod. It lowers your personality, but you dont get dizzy or anything.

Any game, just get a pint of your favourite whiskey and get playing.
(Warning: May reduce playing ability).

I'd also add that whiskey can make certain people crazy, particularly if you're homeless or Irish...or both.

And doesn't the ultimate MMORPG Runescape have booze? Or did I decide to play it drunk (that's my excuse for playing it at least and I'm going to stick with it)

If I remember correctly, you could drink a keg in Runescape and wobble around a bit afterward.

There are over 100 billion galaxies in our observable universe, each containing up to a trillion stars.

Feeling small yet?

Could you drink a whole keg? I never thought that was possible

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (one mission anyway), not that it's an RPG though, still an awesome effect.

As Dink said, WoW, you can get drunk with the whole visual effects. But you can't gamble, because why, they don't want to influence the kids?

Morrowind with the Necessities of Morrowind mod. The visual effect is a fireworking particle emitter that lasts 3 seconds, after which your attributes are lowered.

The Irish are crazy by default, and it'll take more than a little whiskey to get one drunk

Tibia - it makes you say "Hick!" and walk in directions you didn't press the arrow key on.

Vid of two players having a drunk race across town - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=B7nb-ixVqU0

Some of the monsters can make you drunk which makes it hard to run away from them if they're too strong
