when i go into 'test game', the textures of characters, stock or otherwise, turn jet black. nothing else is affected, however. guns, segments, skies, etc. are all normal except for the characters.

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

PC requirements are necessary of course so can't discount that. What version are you using? Have you tried building the test level to see if it works in the build?

What mode light mapping do you use? Are shader effects on?

my pc was up to snuff... and this problem wasn't present from the beginning. maybe if i just reset all settings, it may reset itself. the problem only started once i messed with shaders and fog.

Yeah, shaders can really do some strange things in FPSC, I advise you don't use them to test your game, only for the final build. But even then it might be good to keep the effects off, because honestly, they add no real effect...or maybe I'm just saying that...

i turned all effects back to normal, but still no go...

maybe a reinstall will do the trick.
