If I have a small movie loaded and playing within a window, can I print stuff on the rest of the screen whilst the movie is playing or does Darkbasic Classic wait until movie has finished before moving on to next process ?

no, you can print stuff, but loading 3d is not a good idea while a movie is playing though.
