Not here, and not anywhere else unless you've got some serious progress on a project and need extra help.

TGC got rid of them because they were filled with exactly what that image shows...useless threads that only needed to be locked over and over again.

They were removed because people could not comply to the rules that were clearly posted. Other users who knew better would take the liberty to go in and flame newcomers. The overall success rate of projects started there and completed(my personal estimation) was about less than 5%(including even some of my own).

I have succesfully pulled off a team request before. The general trend is that people who ask for teams are the ones that have nothing to show and ikely get nowhere, which is why they are not allowed, but if you have already made a whole lot of progress with say the coding and the game engine but have troubles with 3D modelling, then why would people turn you down when they know you have the ability to make such progress? If you do need a team, make sure you do all you have the ability to do first, and learn a little more just as a sign of respect (and personal knowledge of course).

Don't you just hate that Zotoaster guy?

This should probably work:

1. Get a project going, code, some art etc. Story and ideas are not enough.
2. Start a WIP thread and post some screenshots and perhaps a demo.
3. When people are interested in your project you can ask them for help.
