Hmmm. First lock within a couple of hours of joining (another thread). Careful, you could become the "one". We haven't had one of them in quite some time (that ticks all the boxes of the forum prophecy)...

Cheers

Well I still stand by my years old idea that infact there is only me and Rich, and you are all bots. Pretty clever bots admittingly, but bots none the less. Could also do a bit of a Total Recall and think that Rich is an Uber-bot that I coded before crunching me noggin. Maybe. These days I'm pretty sure upto a dozen of you may not be bots... That number depends on how many beers are in my day. I would do an equation thingy but my sight is all blurry like...

Cheers

Yes, and I'm still looking for why

No, but I'm just pointing out that all other welcome threads have been turned to trash recently.

To be honest, I couldn't care less if I was banned. For some reason, ever after an incident a while back, you've been ready to jump on me for the slightest thing.

Welcome to the forums!

@BatVink
Is that the reason INH is on approval. I don't see a post by him, was it deleted or maybe you added the wrong link?

Welcome to TGC. On your left, you can see the MMORPG bootcamp, where poor souls are stripped for their dreams. And over to your right is the cafeteria. Don't go there, it's Mod's only. The statue in front of you is an homage to games that actually got completed in Dark basic. Maybe one day, a project of yours will shine its name on this golden label. This marks the end of this quick guide, you're welcome to explore the rest of the compund at your own. We hope you enjoy your stay at camp TGC.

Welcome here - Dont be like most people (including me) that in the beginning think they are going to make an actual/good game right away. Your not! I had to learn the hard way. Some advice - but welcome anyway. These are the greatest forums on earth.

First - Welcome Loay 79. Enjoy yourself!

Give the guy/gal a chance. Some of us don't post here all that often (Look at me... All of four posts, even though I lurked for a year before I actually joined). And honestly, if its a spam-bot - who makes a spambot that is so targeted to the board upon which it will post? If it turns into a spambot later, it'll be easy enough to ban it then. Why go through the effort of doing so now, especially when it could turn out you just banned some innocent kid? Wait for absolute positive proof of spaminess before banning.

Wow, second person I stuck up for today... I seem to be on a role.

And btw,

I can tell you he is a bot just by it's sentence.

Quote: "hi my name is Loay79 I'm new here it is good to meet you all"

As you can see it capitalizes the "I" in "I'm" but does not capitalize the "h" in "hi" nor does it put a period at the end of it's sentence. So it is obvious that if a person was going to take the time to correctly spell "I'm", capital "I" and all that they would almost certainly take the time to capitalize "hi" and put a period at the end of the sentence.

Somehow a bot posting nonsense is better than a few of you posting at all.

Can we start cracking down on Geek Culture now please? Like, not a school girl crackdown, but a Samuel L. Jackson Snakes on a Plane style crackdown?

Personally I want to hear some of the mods say the following lines in TGC Context and then proceed to "open a window."

"Enough is enough! I have had it with these mother****ing snakes on this mother****ing plane. Everybody strap in, I'm about to open a ****ing window." link

Yeah. Like that.

Please? Can we see carnage now? We smell the blood, just let er' rip for 24 hours. If it has to begin with me for using *'s, fine. It's all for the greater good really.

Well that last post certainly finished this thread off as far as I'm concerned.

You certainly can! And I for one agree with the basic sentiment. Everyone should be prepared... be very prepared...

As an aside, there's absolutely no point in making a bot for an obscure one-off forum like this (this is the only Apollo forum as far as I know). And nobody makes bots just to post a thread saying "hi". Bots are used for spamming. There are already bots combing these forums for email addresses, so there's no point in making a bot to create a thread like this. Just sayin'
