Cool, I seriously hope you enjoy it, because the music festival experience is fantastic and if you don't mind horrible toilets, not showering for a few days, camping and reeking of sweat and getting muddy then you'll love it...if you're one of those fussy sanitary guys you might be a little fussed (or stay in a B&B). I've never been to Glastonbury but I've been to Download and Wacken (in Germany) and will be going to Bloodstock this year - and even when you rule out all of the music the time is worth it...people are flipping mental at festivals, particularly the Germans. Nobody is rotten, but you'll need to look out for yourself, the worst I've had at a festival is a couple of drunk Germans call me Swedish.

Don't discourage him from the mosh pits (if he finds any) - they're a blast...though saying that you can get injured and will need to look out for yourself, but if you can take a few elbows to the face then totally go in for a mosh.
Anyway, out of curiosity, who's playing Glastonbury?

Yes.
