I've been building a costume for a gonk droid for use in my movies. I was wondering if anyone else has built crappy star wars costumes and how you made them.

For mine, I used two rubbermaid 18-gallon storage bins. I couldn't find any 32 gallon containers so the suit is a bit small. I'll need a really little person to fit inside of it. You can check out the wip here. Here's my most updated pictures.

Tell me what you all think

Yes, quite small indeed. My neighbor and I were just discussing how we're gonna find someone small enough to fit, but old enough to be able to follow directions well.

I hope this does not sound politically incorrect but the subject of midgets came up. At first I said, "Yeah right, where are we going to find a midget?" The next day I see one at my school. There's no way I could've just gone up to him out of the blue and asked if he wanted to dress up as a droid for a movie. But quite a coincidence, eh?

Also, I can actually fit in it I'm just too tall. I was thinking maybe I'd don the costume for a convention or something and be way too tall to be canon and see how many crazy people freak out. Maybe mount my video camera in the faceplate to catch them on tape haha

Me and a group of friends (coincidently many of whom are now part of BioFox) made a series of spoofs off of Star Wars following the 6 episodes. I made a Yoda (called Yogurt in the movies) puppet out of a card board box, a clothes hanger, a couple green shirts, and a sweater. We also had the worlds crappiest droid, Arty 22. He was a big card board box with eyes draw on it.

And just for fun, the episodes in order of 1 to 6 were The Phantom Tennis, Clown Wars, Revenge of the Wookies, A New Pope, The Umpire Strikes Out, The Return of Yogurt.

Nice droid! Funny this is I was thinking about making some lightsaber props this year. I'm planing on making a duel bladed lightsaber that twists to split into two single bladed lightsabers. Make sure you let use know if you ever post a video of your fan film on youtube I love to watch'em.

Nice droid, but be warned, lock your garage door if you spot a sandcrawler.
