True Space Combat is a 2D, top down shooter. I have been working with the multiplayer commands a bit lately, and wanted to
try and create a small , fun online game. In this demo, there is only one weapon available and only one game mode - death match.

The objective is to fly arround space destroying other ships, while trying not to get destroyed yourself. In future versions, there will be an exp. and money system to upgrade your ship and gain new ones.

The DEMO server is up and currently running of you wish to try and play. Make sure your NAT is open and to forward the correct port(s) on your router so you can connect.

DEMO CONTROLS

CHAT = T key ( press enter to send entered text )
TURN = MOUSE MOVE
THRUST = RIGHT MOUSE
ATTACK = LEFT MOUSE

DEMO FEATURES

Online multiplayer support for up to 10 people.
Chat system
Primary weapon 100% functional
Smooth online movement and animation
Bases allow you to regenerate HP by hovering over them
Going to far off the map now kills you
Radar

SCREENS

Included a offline version of the game were you play against bots. This way if the online server is down, you can still try out the game. You can select the bot skill level and how many you want to face. You can have up to 3 bots play at once, with 4 differant skill levels.

All 10 clients connected and running.

A memory leak has been found in the online version demo which has been cuasing the server to crash after a few hours. This may have to do with the way memblocks are being handled. I'm looking into it and will let you guys know when it is fixed. Clients are not experiencing this problem from what i can tell, so it is still safe to use. Looks like its just a problem on the server end.
