FPSC Classic Scripts / Need some help to make a dissappearing entity

Ok so as I am new to the programming of scripts I have a favor to ask of the community .

I am looing for a script that will allow me to have an entity spawn stay on screen for .30 to 3 seconds then have them dissappear without being shot...

Would anyone be able to assist or be able to point me in the right direction

ok. on the entity you want to disappear. put the spawn at start to No.
then put the spawn life to 30 (30 is 30 secs).
Then make a Trigger Zone. put the main script to plrinzoneactivateused.fpi.
then in the if used put the entitys name.

this way the player will walk in the Trigger Zone. then the entity will spawn an the live for 30 secs then it will disappear

Thats the only way i know

I apologize i should have been more specific that is my fault . When the Entity "disappears" It hangs around on the screen too long laying on the ground. I guess you could say i am looking for a "vaporize" effect more like a flash dissappearance

Any ideas how i can change the destroy fpi to do that?

1) If you want the entity to do a *Blip!* gone sorta thing (Instant disappear), then you can just say "Destroy" as the first thing that should happen when you want it to disappear.

2) If you want the entity to fade away, then you can use the "Fade corpse" fpi script as a basis for it.


If your destroy scripts aren't working you can always give them a Main script that you make to count up a timer and have them disappear when it's over (via destroy or fading technique)
