I started having this problem a few days ago when all of a sudden i stopped having the ability to load some sites on the internet. For example I cant do a Google search, if i type anything into Google it just doesn't load. Digg.com refuses to load anything past the first page. Some websites wont load at all. load at all. I know that its something with my pc because other PCs on my network can load this stuff. My virus scan did not pick up anything, i even emptied out my temp and temp internet files folder. Erased all my cookies, and the problem is still there.

The google search is the most annoying as i am forced to use MSN live search.

Other browsers i tried like IE and Opera give the same results

Is anyone know anything about this kind of thing?

Did you read the wikipedia article? Check to see if it reads what wikipedia says should be default. It's possible your HOSTS file is redirecting the common URLs somewhere else or to your own machine.

So you think your top line there that says:

127.0.0.1 NtKrnlpa.info

Is normal? Doing a google search on that domain reveals that it's due to an infection from a virus. Good luck

oh, I thought you said you had other computers.

I'd recommend clearing the first line on the hosts file, making it read only, and see if you can then use your computer.

Make sure you clear the virus out, cuz it appears the virus infects all executables on the computer. Your best bet with this type of virus is to reformat and reinstall windows.

Don't keep using the computer until you clean it because the virus can download new viruses to your computer, and can also infect other computers.

There have been a lot of DNS poisoning attacks lately. My advice is don't rely on a single DNS server. I use one from my ISP and one from Open DNS.

Ever since Pakistan killed YouTube hackers have woken up to the fact they can take down big sites by issuing bad DNS updates.

Whatever your fix was obviously didn't work. Your options are to find a different method of fixing it, or as I suggested, a clean reinstall.

Reading that again it might have come off harsh (no idea what your message said), if I sounded blunt I didn't mean it

I'd offer tips on clearing that out, but when I get a virus, I consider my machine unfixable and I purge the data

(I don't trust a machine's security or reliability once it's been infected)

well, i was able to get rid of a virus once before and i can do it again. I just need to locate the virus and at least try to remove it.

i REALLY do not want to reinstall, hunt down the drivers, and all the applications i had, install them again, then tweak up windows to my liking.

i only do a clean install when my pc was completely overrun (i have a weird attraction to clicking batch files that i know are viruses but click them anyway, dont ask) ^_^

Its a wird thing actually that i installed photoshop on this comp right before this virus appeared. Every single time i install photoshop, something bad happens to my pc, some kind of curse

i will install a few more antivirus things to help me out
