Yay I'm there. Celebrate roundly with many quaffs of ale...

My parents forked out $300 to fly me home for the weekend, and I did them the courtesy of missing my flight so they had to fork out another $300. Felt bad. Had a massive party in the old home state though. Was good.

Funny, it was 1999/2000 that I started to get into Darkbasic...IIRC...so that's a few years now. It's been a brilliant ride, and with people like Van B and Dazzag and co who have been here for the whole time too make this whole experience so much better.

I am going for my first interview (post starting a degree in Game design) to get into the industry this week, and I attribute my love for what I do to the act of finding a demo of DBC on a PC Australia CD.

Cheers TGC

Have a brilliant day peoples!! I now return to my assignments...lol

Regards,
Greenlig

Glad birthday to you!

21? Meh, been there, done that. It's overrated. Just like 18 was, and 16 before that. It's all hyped up because of a giant conspiracy to distract people from the real issues of growing up, like table tennis.

This message was brought to you by Grandma industries.

Well, I've got TGC and SW3D to thank for a lot of what I'm able to do now as well. In any case: Congrats!

Congrats on turning 21

I'm having my 21st party on the 26th April (day after Anzac) with a Pirates Vs Ninjas theme (my actual BDay is on 2nd May).

During Uni holidays, yeah.
But right now, I'm at Bathurst Uni (where my party will be).
If you're in the area, you can stop by if you like (free grog ).

I'm tearing up. Someone managed to spell it with a g instead of a q. Gets me right there that does

And rubbish, if I'm anything to go by, 35 is miles better than 21 Although I must admit the previous 3 years were pretty tops (leaving Uni sucks badly)... Hmmm....

Out of interest, are you in one of those annoying places where you can get married and own guns when you are a kid, but not allowed to drink until you are a man (21)? Might explain excitement about having a drink. Or you are a complete alcoholic. Or both. Closest I came to that was accidentally (well, was prank by Irish bloke) walking into a gay bar with my mates and getting refused a drink at the bar (have to be 21 in Ireland at the time. I'm not really talking about drink though...). Should have noticed by the all black lift that got you into the place...

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

lol @ dazzag

Nah, here in Australia you just have to be 18 to drink legally, and able to walk to drink. It's a good system.

@ Jess - I'm in Brisbane now so it is closer than Tassie, but not quite close enough

Regards,
Zac

Haha, Bathurst is about 1-1.5 hours drive from my place in the Blue Mountains, so from Sydney, about 3.5 hours.

Anyway, 64 is an awesome age!

Drop me a line sometime if you wanna catch up, whereabouts are you in the next month?

I've got a month off work now, so loads of free time, but after that i'll probably be gone for about 6 weeks to the RAAF.

Greenlig, you're coming if we meet up, i'll pay for the ticket over - we can have a mini convention!

Well, I go to america in late june, but I don't have any exams, so I will have a week off before that... I might be free then...

A meet up/piss up would be well fun. I'm sure Indi is around too. I know he is Brisbane side.
