Quote: "Sweeney Todd was the worst movie I think I've ever seen. For one, Tim Burton is stupid. All his movies are dark and... stupid. The music didn't fit the movie at all. Singing just doesn't go in movies like that. The ending was stupid and made me want to break the disk. All in all, I hated every last minute of the movie."
A. Sweeney Todd was originally a play...a musical play...thus singing must happen if anybody wanted to turn it into a movie.
B. Tim Burton isn't, he can't be, he can make movies that make him money and gain fans and pleases his audience. He must have something right in his head to do that.
C. The Music, well I can agree, the music itself I didn't suit it.
His movies appeal to his audience and because you don't like the movie or aren't in that audience doesn't make him or the movies stupid. Especially as his movies are well done, can be original in concept or in certain aspects and isn't just slapped together or follow a really generic storyline. I liked Sweeney Todd, aspects I didn't think as good as they could have been and the music, well not quite suitable and not as good as the world's greatest musical:
The Rocky Horror Show. (Come on, that's too genius)
