I pretty much get highly entertained by any thread that gets locked due to Grandma or Seppuku posting about their hidden bases and plans for global domination...

Good times. Those days are probably over due to the iron-fist dictator that runs TGC.

It is strange though, that hello kitty will inevitably get mentioned in those circumstances.

This message was brought to you by Grandma industries.

My favourite may be just about to happen. There is only 1 locked post left on the first page of Geek Culture.

I see seven locked post's, but again I increased my limit to what I can see on one page.

My fav moment is when I posted...

My favourite moment was when DarkPhysics got released. It was released pretty late at night (GMT), there was quite a few people sat up drinking loads of coffee waiting to get their mits on it, checking their order history every two minutes.

I love the huge threads that you get deeply involved in. I also kinda liked it when an annoying forumer called M1RKD1RK started acting stupid, and when I told him off he started trying to put me down, but the community stood up for me and let me know that they appreciated me more than I thought

Don't you just hate that Zotoaster guy?

Well to be honest, I find the idea of us ruling the world entertaining too, so we are glad to have the support of such members like you.

But yes, we've not been keeping TGC up to date, only because they have to defend their territory from the likes of us trying to take over their company - so we're keeping quiet in the forums, but I assure you, one day TGC will be slaves in our empire. But don't tell anyone, we'll get banned and of course we have to keep.

Believe it or not, I think I've just figured out another game idea.

But favourite TGC moment? Don't know really mate, I've been on here since 2004, so I'll say the times when I was overly ambitious to create Ronin, but neither had the time or enough skill to pull it off properly - though I got some good tech demos out and 3D models going - but it failed each time I tried to kick it off, and Sett's help was very useful. Maybe it'll arise again. (Luckily I will have no uni work from 28th April until September)

From now on, you guys need to post a link to what you are talking about.

My fave was the he-who-must-not-be-named incident. Hilarious. (Under punishment of slap we aren't allowed to say the name, remember)
THE YOU KNOW WHO CONTROVERSY

And maybe the random pictures grandma posts every now and then - favorites are these two:
The windmill beard
Refrigerator hunting

I forget where those popped up.

Favorite moment by far, was when the infamous geri made a post about finding a gold ring in a field. Post was deleted unfortuantely, but I think g3ri or geri13 is still around here.

Second favorite was a team request only consisting of "your wife is deaf, murder, revenge."

And then of course, I'm quite found of book.

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

Mine was when CMC 101 was running amok through the forums in '03. Rich put code in the forum that treated his username as a swear word

And then of course I very much enjoyed when a certain forum user got badly punished by being redirected to barbie.com whenever he tried to go to the forums

Hahahaha.
The book thing is pretty funny, never heard of it until now.
My fave of all is still the you-know-who incident. Once I read the entire book one I'll rethink meself.

@Mson - I saw the mod suicide chart, I was there.

Yep, them were the days. I remember being a little worried at the time that I may get a ban for calling him a complete abortion. He deserved it though, even though I still believe he was a joke account made up by another forum member (Rami styley) who didn't realise the monster he had made till it was too late and can never admit it was them (for the shame). Or was someone who then made another account later and never will admit it either. Either way it would bring a tear to my eye if he was on his deathbed in a few decades, and would wave over his youngest grandson and admit how he did actually kill those children, rape those women, and finally that it was him who was the author of the Codez on the Dark Basic forums...

Cheers

I've seen other forums that have a special topic just for old locked forums that were classic/really funny that they moved there. The entire topic was locked, but you could always go through them and bring back memories... We need one of those here.

I quite liked seeing indi implode when he finally realised that nobody thought he was the best person ever.

That and some bod who was on the verge of a ban and said something along the lines of "I don't care anyway. Look, right click > view source, hahahaha tgc is so easy to hack you suck."

I guess he hasn't got round to that hacking yet...

I don't have the link, but I believe Riker 9 was a project that was semi-popular at some time. Strangely enough, since there was no evidence of its existence.

Except its thread.

It faded away into the depths of the memory hole togheter with some crushed hopes.
