Hi folks!

Can somebody give me, or write here a detailed instruction how to use this new headshot feature came with latest patch?

I have a lot of question about this:

Where to put this script? In the appear slot? If yes, how to combine this new script with the existing appear script? Because I need to keep the original appear script for some reason.

How can I calculate own head shot detection values?

What this sentence mean: "1 means default height of 42" the 42 means the location of the head? If yes, 42 from the bottom of the character, or from the top of the caracter?

Sorry for the tons of queastion but i'm a newbie here.
And again, excuse my english. Not perfect.

Yes, the appearwithheadshot.fpi needs to be in the appear slot. If you need other appear code, then you will need to merge the scripts. Either add the other scripts code to appearwithheadshot.fpi or add "headshot=1" to the other script.

The default height of 42 is the height of the headshot from the bottom of the character. To leave the headshot height at 42, you can leave the script as is or change the =1 to =42. Some users say that number is a little low. For taller characters, adjust the number up - 48, 52, etc, or as they say.... adjust to your taste.

Best.

Hi xplosys!

Tried to modify the headshot detection values, but not working for me Only the original script works comes with lates patch.

This is the script I tried:
I tried sevaral values for headshotdamage, but not worked. I tried the default 42 value too.
Can you help me what I did wrong?

;Artificial Intelligence Script

;Header

desc = Instant On (with No Gravity)

;Triggers

:state=0:setalphafade=100,nogravity,appearwithheadshot=1,headshotdamage=44,runfpidefault=1

;End of Script

Okay, first off, nogravity and headshot stuff will not mix well. The headshot hit-box won't follow the no-grav thing and characters can not go on a no-grav spree.

Second, the command is not appearwithheadshot it's headshot. Here, I fixed it up.

I'm not even sure why I just handed this script over, considering appearwithheadshot.fpi is in your scriptbank, but, why not?

Good luck,

Oh, BTW: 55 is the almost perfect headshot distance, keep it that way.

@Mezoforte

Headshots don't use hitboxes in FPSC, they use raycasts.......
