OK, so basically I have a few videos on my computer, but they take up a lot of space, about 800 mb. Is there any good tools(free preferably, it's not super important, so I'm not gonna bother buying anything) out there to do some compression/conversion to a smaller file size? Maybe something that can switch codecs.

Thanks for the help.

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtualdub/VirtualDub-1.7.8.zip?download

Go to video/compression tab, select a compressor and config to your needs depending on quality and codec you want to use.

Windows movie maker comes with the computer and when you save the file as a movie file you specify the size+quality. Thats what I use.
