I am planning on purchasing DarkBasicPro in the near future and my first projects will be in 2D. I wanted to ask other users of DBPro, what is the best program to create 2D images for backgrounds and sprites for use in DBPro?

I use gold old Microsoft Paint...it's pretty cheap(if you have windows of course) :p and it gets the job done very well...I have made some excellent 2d image on paint.People always say it sucks, but if you aren't into illegal copies of photoshop cs3 extended like me ($999 if purchased) then MS Paint will be just fine.
