Here is a simple prank to make a fake virus.
First you open up notepad.
Type in @echo off.

Then type in "echo *your message* (y/n)" (without quotation marks)

Then type pause >nul. Which means tha the person being pranked will have to say yes or no.

Next continue this until you are happy.

Then save as a .bat file on your desktop.

Make a shorcut of it and change the icon to a .exe icon or a install icon.

Put the original in a folder on your desktop.

Now you change the shortcut target to the new folder you put the original in.

Here is a example of what you should put in notepad:

So have fun!!!

EDIT: the last line in the example doesnt appear/ show up when running the .bat file.

Also copy this in your in your address bar to make the images fl on the screen:
javascript:R=0; x1=.1; y1=.05; x2=.25; y2=.24; x3=1.6; y3=.24; x4=300; y4=200; x5=300; y5=200; DI=document.getElementsByTagName("img"); DIL=DI.length; function A(){for(i=0; i-DIL; i++){DIS=DI[ i ].style; DIS.position='absolute'; DIS.left=(Math.sin(R*x1+i*x2+x

thats because u have no Pause on it, so it runs and ends, thus no message.

I have made many fake viruses. I even made a semi real one but it was only a prank one. Just opened on startup and opened rick roll

its cool

i have seen that one before but it was not a bat file it poped up as a window cso i believe it was made with visual basic.

another fun prank i did to a computer moron who did not know how to change the background was to set a screenshot of the desktop as the background covering all of the real desktop and he could not do anything. i did this to a computer at work while in the nave a couple years ago and the guy was freaking out because we told him he must have messed up the computer and we needed to go let the chief know what he did. well we let the chief in on it and the real fun began. LOL

My favorite was to take a screenshot of someones desktop, set it as the desktop background, then move all their icons into a folder.

They'll click those non-existent icons until they're blue in the face .

I just stuck a copy of the desktop folder on the C drive, pretty easy to get it back, but his icons were all over the place after words .

I guess you could do something similar with a fake BSOD screen ...

Now there's a thought - perhaps someone has done that to me already!!

Should we be encouraging this sort of thing ... ?

Van its usually more common to just hide the desktop icons . A little easier.

Try going into your control panel and switching your keyboard's letter layout to another language. Really screws with them.

The way internet explorer is run, windows just looks for the first file that has internet in it in the IExplore folder or whatever its called. So download something stupid like a barbie demo or make your own program, name it Internet.exe, and drop it in the IExplore folder. Should run when they try to run internet explorer, at least it used to, vista probably changed a few things.

Run to a friend's computer that has a lot of desktop icons, press Ctrl + D (or whatever your desktop hotkey is set to), Ctrl + A, Enter, and run away.

I have lots.

My favourite is my current screen saver, it's a fake BSOD that makes it look like windows is restarting, I'll post it if anyone wants it.

It's so fun to wait until someone goes for lunch, put it on a memory stick, install it on their computer and set the screen saver for half an hour so it starts shortly before they come back.

Imagine it, coming back to your PC to see the BSOD, then windows restarting, then the BSOD again!

i did that to dads pc, i took a pic of my pc with a bsod (when it was screwing up) and saved it. Then i put it on his pc and made it the screen saver. He came back and was like..."WTF is this? Oh no, come in hear now"

HAHA i full played a long with it for a good 5 min then i moved the move and started laughing

I usually used a combination of those, and a shutdown -r -t 120, that was pretty fun.
