I'm fairly new to programming, not gonna lie. I'v had 2 courses in it, but it was just Windows apps in VB.net. I figure that's enough background to get me started. Anyway, I'v tweaked the tank in the demo, just a few recolors, but here's my problem, I can't open .x models, .3ds I can handle (I passed my Max class with a B). To work around this slightly annoying fact I'v made several folders within the iron tank folder and just copied the attack.x file and named each of the recolorations as the default tankmtl. I'm wondering if maybe there's away to add a "character" select screen with a pic of each tank...a tank select screen with pics?
