I have just started making a gun model for fun. It is not a particular gun just something Im doing as I go along.

Looks nice but texture needs some work. And barrel at front looks atad high-poly to keep down polies uses 3-15 vertices on the barrel.

Thanks for the comment, But as I stated in my post the texture hasn't been started yet and this is just a preview texture... The barrel may be redone however the screen shot was taken in UVMapper Pro and that smooths evertything.

Half-life dude I haven't done my texture on my weap yet but you can kinda guess what it will look like due to the minor details on it. Oh and yeah its based on a Warhammer weapon. But it is completely my gun.

Not really an update but I might be getting milkshape3d in a couple of days so i downloaded the trial ages ago. Its a not registered copy so I cannot save or export. I imported my gun and added hands from Red Devil. So here is te result...

Half Life Dude, I suggest you would animate first. PS: Get Milkshape 3D. It's worth it. Best 35 bucks I ever spent.

Hi all, this will be one of the last modeling updates. Im am just about to order Milkshape3D so I will animate then. I just hope with a texture it will look good. But I suck at texturing so it might not look too good.

UPDATE:
Moved scope back.
Added more "padding"
Re-did the grip as it was facing the wrong way. Lol.

Ok...Animation is really starting to [PENGUIN] me off. I am using hands and they will not stay with the gun. I rotate and they go completly off. Why lord? WHY!

I am now doing the gun WITHOUT hands. However I may redo with hands when I can be bothered

I am having trouble UV mapping my gun...If I post the milkshape file will someone have a go at UVmapping my gun. Then I can have a look at it and learn from there...

I would uv-map it, but please post a .obj file, not .ms3d. I don have ms3d to opn it with, and i dont want it.

I give up. I have to re-rig and animate my gun because of the [PENGIUN] UV Map. If anyone knows a way of transfering bones and keyframesto another model in Milkshape please let me know!

Yep. I know. Here's some steps:

1: Import weapon you want to copy anims from.
2: Delete the mesh. (NOT THE JOINTS!)
3: Import your gun (make sure your gun does not have any joints).
4: Assign the model to the joints accordingly.

There you are!
