*leans back, kicks shoes off, stretches arms out* ahhhhhhhh!

This is a gloat to all of those at University (or not), first years, seconds years or whatever, I'm just pleased. I've literally just printed off my last bit of work to hand in for the year. *puts feet on desk and takes a sip from a drink* Yup!

I'm finally pleased, it's April and we start again in September, what shall I do with all this free time? (Assuming I don't suck enough to do a resit) Luckily my course 100% coursework and presentations, so I don't have to revise for any exams like most people are doing now.

Of course, knowing my luck, I'll oversleep tomorrow and miss the deadline.

Though for a bit of fun, I've got a few months of doing nothing, what should I do? I've been meaning to do other stuff but never had the time, get a job? Do my DBP projects? Complete Oblivion or other games I've yet to finish. Hold a chav waterballoning tournament? Start a barbershop quartet?

Well done Seppuku, My sister has just finished here first year at University, I can't imagine how you must feel right now.

Anyway what to do with the spare time? Playing Oblivion might keep you occupied for about three weeks tops...however, if you host that chav water ballooning contest I'll send you my balloon in the post, along with a bottle of water...I might write an insult on the balloon with no more than one syllable per word so they can understand it

I vote on redecorating your lair. The stacks of disobedient ex-henchmen are really starting to pile up. You could shape the pile into a large slide and open your lair to the public. Call it "Seppuku's fun house of doom". And make other attractions from your various contraptions. The earnings will flow, it will be a hit. You could then use your new steady incrementally rising fortune to fund the "hell kitty" project. It's something me and tha_rami has been fiddling with for the last 2 months. We could use some extra help. It's gonna be big.

Do your DBP projects. It's criminal how little time you will have for it after Uni. Work really gets in the way of birds, beer, and programming. Yep, the 3 B's. Good olde beer...

Cheers

Brilliant idea Grandma, I will get on it right away! (the slide that is)

If I stay in Derby, then yes (I'll be here for the next 3 weeks) if I go back home, then no, why? Well the fact 'water ballooning chavs' is on my to-do list should explain it.

Ah the sensible solution! And a solution that will keep me from getting bored.

Tempting, it's long dead and needs reviving, I'll see what my original co-programmer is up to (not seen him for a while, last time we spoke he was still trying to work on it) First I'll think I'll get my game engine complete, so that I can make games from it.

Also, what's everybody else doing with their time off from Uni? Next year I'm tempted enough to do an Iceland conservation trip.

Also, I realised one thing I have to do, Bloodstock, though that's not until August.

Indeed, though I need to learn DBP first, as for girlfriend - I think I have a better chance of that at uni than at home, the people here are much nicer. Heck the trouble makers here aren't all that bad either.

I'll be back on MSN eventually, first I need to tidy this pigging mess of a room, I've neglected it and thrown left over paper everywhere.

Doing a doss course then? Our last formal lecture is actually this Wednesday, simply because the uni booked the tutor and lecture room for one week too many. So we're still going to make use of the time, plus we've got a little meet up with the course leaders, 2nd and 3rd years afters.

This would be an awesome day as I handed my work in, had a celebratory drink with class mates, but it turned out to be just a cheers to one of our lecturers who died over the weekend, which sucks, but the guy knew 6 months ago that he was going to die and had a condition that meant it would happen sooner or later, so I wholly respect the guy coming in and teaching us to the high quality he did and being a cool guy.

Rule out the smoking and poker, then perfect plan.

We've got the Uni May Ball this friday, just bought my ticket, and I know plenty of girls that are coming along, so always good. Though the line up they have is scary, Sugababes, East 17, The Fillers (A Killers tribute band) though on the bright side we have Judge Jules and Zane Lowe, and it's cool that my friend gets to be the opening DJ act for Judge Jules, plus there are 4 other friends who are DJing on the night. Me and my flat-mates might tempt to mosh to East 17 to see if we can get a circle pit going.

Indeed, and I plan on getting drunk tonight, class mates invited me out, so why not? Though I'll try to avoid the forums, last time I posted drunk I made a couple of stupid posts, well posts more stupid than normal.

I was just looking at the modules I have for next year, some seem pretty cool, like writing for websites and online (wonder if they chuck in any web design?), more practical than historical and philosophical (like this year)

Seppuku, the thought of you mashing away at a keyboard while completely off your face is highly amusing.

Also, I would suggest renting, if not buying, the film, The Mist, an often overlooked but awesome film based on a Stephen King novel...depending on how well you can cope with horror films it's either going to be a tremendous experience of awesome special effects and a brilliant storyline...Or just plain ****-your-pants scary

That's what I plan to do, might be interesting to see if they have any local editorial jobs or something that might add good work experience, failing that, something that pays. It beats sitting around doing nothing all day, though it still leaves time to do all of the things I sacrificed during my A Levels and first year at uni, I feel almost spoiled for choice on options, but job is definitely a priority, plus I want more money - as I'm using my overdraft to pay the retainer on our house for next year.

I've just come back from the night out, I'm not smashed as I've sobered up a bit, I can string sentences together and make sense, so I apologise, but if it makes you giggle, a very attractive young girl started dancing with me, to only find out her boyfriend was standing opposite, she introduced me to him...it was a strange experience, I just decided to avoid weird people and headed back to my group. As for truly drunk posts, maybe another time, when I can afford that much to drink.

(This is all bearing in mind that you've said the girlfriend option is out of the window right now).

Go to the local skate shop and get a brand new setup. Do some read-ups on basic skating tricks like ollies, kickflips, manuals, and shuvits, (I recommend downloading Tony Hawks Trick Tips if you've never skated), and learn to skate.

Go. Now.

The "Hell Kitty" project is a horrible pain in the ass, but if we succeed, its going to be massive. The world will definitely be at our kittens. Uh, feet.

Tried it once, wasn't a big fan of it, this summer is going to be the time to revive my old hobbies and get back into shape (I've really let my self go in the last 1 and half years)

Agreed.

The last few weeks I've been doing 300 situps a night in front of the TV and have noticed a huge difference. I've also been walking home from the bus stop which is about a 45 minute walk. If you have a lot of time there's almost no excuse to not be active and maybe even lift some weights to build muscle.

Indeed, I walk to uni and back everyday, but clearly that's not enough. (20 minute walk each way)

In the first two weeks of Uni I thought it was a good idea to run up the stairs to lectures on the 8th floor, now, I'll even take the lift to the 4th floor, so that's not good. Might try that again in September, but next time, attempt getting to a lecture early, instead of sitting at the back trying to catch my breath when the tutor wishes to speak.

My flat mate has just taken on the whole get back into shape thing, so I might join the guy, though I get the feeling he wants a montage.

Here in the Netherlands, law states that after 18:00 you get paid extra if you've been working since 12:00 or earlier, and when working on holidays we get 200%.

Sounds fun, but think of the money, I don't think I'll be getting a job like that, though it'd be nice to find a job in the writing/journalism industry, so I can get some useful work experience. However I'm going to use the Summer for fun too - perhaps write my novel and get on with making a game. Though so far I've spent this week getting the parties out of the way and saying goodbye to uni mates and lecturers (It's amusing seeing your lecturers get more drunk than everybody else) until most of us return in September.

A journalist? Good man. I demand to see that novel when it's finished. Is it about a struggling uni student who says he has too much time on his hands yet still spends said valuable time on a geek culture forum where he intends to make fun fair amusements out of dead bodies, but doesn't realise that more malevolent and fearsome individuals respond to this insatiable desire to waste time with long sentences, petty rants and sporadic outbursts of ******* cursing? Now as for your situation...

Okay...no it's about killing putting every member of TGC into slavery - though you were close.

Though I'd say I don't spend too much time on here, I've always had pockets of time free, not always to do a run of coding, but time to socialise on TGC and sometimes get involved with debate...but I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to imply with your post.
