Hi,

I am aware that this "plea" is not entirely cultural, but it is geeky enough. I am currently developing a new code editor for DBPro. This is more of a trial than anything, as I have used the new Office 2007 interface design in it, instead of the normal menus etc.

Anyway, I have made the interface, and done all of that. But, there is one problem. It cannot currently edit code. Therefore, I am looking for a code editor control that:

Feature Packed (Intellisense etc)
Looks good (images on intellisense for example or whatever)
Works with .NET languages (I am using C# for this)

If anyone could help with this, then I would be extremely grateful!

Cheers,
Bozzy

You want a free one right? What's wrong with the one you showed me?

My email actually IS "nocannedmeat@gmail.com". Why? I don't know.

I have found out that it is quite buggy, apparently, and I really want one with good documentation. That is, unless I can find out how to work the one I showed you anyway lol

Ah, okay. I remember seeing a really good one. Diggsey found a REALLY good one, I'll ask him if he remembers where he got it.

Cheers,

I haven't seen Diggsey in a few days.

You could try 'EControl Syntax Editor SDK'. I can't remember if it's the same one, but it looks like it might be!

This is by far the best one, and can handle DBP syntax relatively well.

I think Bozzy meant free, but that one's still really good looking, and based on the Synergy IDE, I'd say it works quite well too.

Aha!

Lol I have tried many a time to figure out how to use that one, but ot no avail.

Unfortunately, there are no examples provided with the editor at all.

well, its free. and looks like the best alternitive. I suppose you should just take your time to look at it, and figure it out... Unless you want to pay 300 dollars.
