It's far too soon for a reformat.

Try reinstalling the drivers.
Try reinstalling DirectX.
Try reinstalling DBPro.

You say in your first post that you installed the drivers from ATI - try doing it again.

Also, have you tried compiling with the F4 key (compile but don't run)? Does that work?

I'm getting the feeling that this may actually be a hardware issue. Do you get the blue screen any other times or does it only happen when you run a DB exe? Have you tried downloading other people's precompiled exe's from DB and run them?

The fact that it can compile an exe and it crashes when you run it is interesting. Certainly shows it's not a problem with the compiler or DBP. I'd really suggest trying some other DirectX driven app not created in DB as well as one created in DB, in fact, run DxDiag:

-Open the start menu and click "Run"
-Type in: "dxdiag" and hit OK
-On the screen that pops up go to the "DirectX Files" tab
-Look at the notes and copy what's written there into a reply
-Also go to the "Display" tab and click "Test DirectDraw", and then "Test Direct3D"

Tell me if those tests bluescreen or if they run fine. Finally, have you played or run any games lately?

Hopefully that will give some insight into whether this has something to do with DirectX or drivers.
