I’ve decided its time for my second project to begin. Bubble Burst was a great first project. I have become very familiar with the language in a short time, but now I’m ready to move on to something more challenging. Some of the criteria I want to have in my next game are:

action packed, preferably violent.
supports multiplayer locally, and over the internet

After some thought I decided I wanted to make a racing game. With a top down view similar to “super off road”. To the people who were in the arcades in the 90’s, you know what I'm talking about. Unfortunately “super off road” wasn’t very violent, so well have to give the trucks missiles and bombs. This naturally satisfies the local multiplayer aspect, multiple controllers could easily support multiple vehicles. The only tricky thing left is setting it up to allow internet match-ups.

The tracks will have obstacles like crates and barrels at certain places along the edges of the track. Players will be able to smash each other into them.

I also plan to have weapon pickups that appear randomly. Things like missiles, bombs and mines.

There have been a lot of improvements recently. I'm satisfied with the overall handling of the truck and the obstacles.

At this point I am releasing a demo to allow for play-testing

The demo can be downloaded from my site http://www.geekuniversity.com

enjoy..

sorry about the missing info....a note to people on this thread.....

I have a relatively new account, and moderators still have to check my posts. So whenever I update game information. the post disappears for a while.

If you are here and the first post does NOT contain game info. That means I have just posted an update. If you don't want to wait for the mods to OK my post, just go to my website. All content on this thread is mirrored there.

Thanks

It's gone because whoever posted is on post-approval and they edited their post. It will be back when it gets approved again.
