One question, will Saints Row 2 survive under the vast hugh enormous gigantic colossal weight of GTA IV?

A dream is a fantasy, if you achieve that fantasy it was never a dream to begin with.

Judging by the crappy look of the Saints Row 2 videos and screenshots, it appears to be doomed from the start. The first Saints Row was a great game.

I was just thinking about this earlier... I have to say I feel very sorry for the people making Saints Row 2 because, imo, it will never be judged on it's own merits... It is going to be compared to GTA IV and unless they have done something very special it's just not going to be able to hold its own...

I personally didn't like Saints Row that much... However, I did enjoy the insurance fraud mini game thing That was addictive!

Thank You Thraxas, finally someone else knows how a game should be judged, but because were limited across the board, it will be compared with the likes of GTA VI and in most cases will determine the fate of the game.

This is a good thing though, GTA4 re-instigates the standards we initially expected from next generation games. Remember when the 360 first came out, we had Gears of War, Dead Rising etc, amazing games - nowadays we get regurgitated clones that we complete within a couple of days. Admittedly GoW does not last very long, but when you've completed it you don't feel ripped off, most people I think play through that one a few times, it's not like some new games where you don't even want to look at them after completing them.

GTA4 sets the bar at around a minimum of 45 hours gameplay for our £45, great graphics, character animations, a massive play area, and tons of multiplayer options. Welcome back to next gen gaming - pay attention EA!.

less is more, but if less is more how you keeping score?
