OMG!!!!
You know when you get really pissed for a reason you know is really dumb??? For example, i was just playing COD4 with mis amigos, and some JUGGERNAUGHT LAST STAND SCREW BALLS were being dumb... They totally kicked out butts. My friends were getting pissed so they left, but i decided to stay and rough it out for my dignity... I have this hole "never give into cheaters" thing.... however, i just got murdered, and gave up by throwing grenades at myself, turning sensitiivty up really high and spinning around in circles

But i was still pissed, and so i quit, and threw up head set at my SOFA!!! with soft cusions, and it snapped in half!!!!!!!

GA! so thats my example, im ticked cause my headset broke. I know its dumb to mad about, but knowing that just makes me more pissed. I dont usually get this mad, its kinda wierd.....

SO MY QUESTION!!! Is what do you do to calm down??? and counting to 10 or taking deep breathes doesnt count... cause thats dumb....

OMG!!!
This thread is so pointless. There is one way to calm down and that is just shut up about it and carry on, instead of whining.

I am trying to imagine the conversation.

"We're getting owned"
"****"
"****!"
"Okay, screw it, we, your friends, are leaving you all alone because we're pissed off about a computer game."
"Okay. I'll kill them."
"****"
"****"
"Holy ****"
"Ah, screw this."
*throws headset*
"****, ****, ****!"

haha pretty much...
Hey Deathead... Not really whining, cause if you dont release your rage sometimes, you pop, and your head will blow up and everyone will be all bloody... and then there goin be mad...
This thread is kinda pointless, but it seems TALKING to people (or in this case typing to people) helps out a lot.]
But usually i do just shut up and take it... The thing is tho, starting a job, going to high school, and joing up on the sailing team, working on an Eagle project, trying to get myself into an AP comp sci class and trying to keep my physics grade above a 85 all the same time is kind of stress full, and to shut up and take it all leads to some issues.... But i hear what your saying, thats what i usually tell people.

Rami, haha, as i said, pretty much, lots of explitives that i thought i shouldnt relay in my explanation.

Haha. Ruccus, i didnt mean to brake it all. you gotta understand, i literally tossed it at a sofa... Although, after thinking about it, i take my mike of the wrong way. Instead of lifting it, i pull it off sideways which would weaken it if i did it a lot... and so if it was already weak, and i did it again with some force, i think its understandable it would brake. My theory is supported by were it broke. it broke right at the point at wear the ear piece and mike branches off of the thing that wraps around our head...

hehe, i solved my anger by coding a GORE scenario in dbp, its fun to have gore spurts everywere

'never give into cheaters'

How is using juggernaught cheating?.....its annoying, but its just a perk like all the others.
I dont use it, i use claymore (if thats how you spell it), faster reloading and another one, which i forgot.
I only got cod4 a few weeks ago, and have played it for only a few days becuase i only play it at weekends, and im rank 31, or 32.....anyway, add me on XBL if u want (dan958)

I get REALLY mad when my wireless receiver doesn't work. Why? I don't know. All I know is it wasn't working this morning, so it got to meet the wall, and then return to it's duty.

Cheers,

Well I don't get mad, so I never have the need to calm down. It's great once (if) you reach that zen'ness. I'm like Ned Flanders.

When you get pissed off with someone to the point where you just want to beat them up, it helps to picture yourself commiting unforgiveable acts of violence against them in your head, so your taking it out on them with your imagination instead of your wee fists. My English teacher taught me that one.

But when you get mad at someTHING, it's generally not a good idea to throw it. Taking a few deep breaths really is the best way to go.

No it's not, all that is doing it keeping the anger inside and building it up for the next time.

Well, it depends if you want to release it or hold it. Sometimes you just have to tell yourself to calm down. You know, when there isn't a set of expensive glasses nearby.

I have some swords, and some useless boxes. Though hitting the boxes isn't good for the swords, it sure gets anger out good. Haven't done that in a REALLY long time, like, several years.

Cheers,

I'm sorry, but it's a computer game, if you're not having fun, don't play, that's how you stop doing stupid things like that. I played Counter Strike online, the people I played against were better than me, and I kept dying pretty quickly, sucked the fun out of it, Half Life 2 deathmatch was different though and I played that until it got boring.

Dude, it's not the end of the world and it's really nothing to work yourself up about, there are much more important things in the world than losing a computer game.

But being annoyed is being annoyed and any one can relate, last night was our big May Ball event, my friend got so drunk he was annoying me quite badly, so I left him whilst he was watching one band to get some space from the man, otherwise I would have almost punched the guy and I'm not the violent sort.

So if you're ever annoyed, don't lash out, just take a break until you cool down and you'll feel much better.

When I used to get mad and stressed I would sometimes grit my teeth. Not good. So I've started just trying to cancel out whatever's making me mad and that usually works. If I DO get mad, now I'll just try to take a deep breath. That actually is surprisingly calming and satisfactory. And it's less killer on the teeth!

Listening to some good ol' Norweigen Black Metal tends to calm me down, or any music that is an expression of anger...Luckily I always keep my iPod charged and ready.

Off topic: To any Black Metal fans, is Satyricon considered a good band among fans of the genre?

Well if anyone I should know about raging, what with being a CS player, and Ive certainly met a legacy of ragers who will hit their keyboards, mice, monitors or headsets when losing. However I myself almost never get angry at the game, even though I take it really seriously To me, raging is a mystery. Why get worked up over a game? Leave the server, practice on another one, come back later and own. If you cant own, maybe its time to admit someone is better than you rather than whining about perks/weapons/levels/peripherals. There are better players out there ^_^

Why would that matter? I've not really listened to Satyricon and love Black metal, whether they're good sounding is entirely subjective. It's not about image. Metallers aren't meant to be a superficial bunch, so it shouldn't matter so much who you like under the metal genre, but that you're into the metal you enjoy the most - people joke about certain bands, yet it don't matter if you like them, though you might get ridiculed for liking stuff such as My Chemical Romance, but everybody has their vices. Goodness sakes I've seen metallers go to Avril Lavigne concerts and sing along to Bon Jovi and on Friday the Sugababes and East 17 played at our Uni May Ball and I watched them. Though I like neither.

Thanks Sep, I was concerned because I once told friend that I liked Megadeth more than Metallica and he laughed in my face...It was so hard to resist punching the little git, but then I just reached into my pocket, pulled out my iPod and put Now Diabolical by Satyricon on...Relief in audio form
