Hey guys, so playing Supreme Commander got me thinking about the original Total Annihilation, and I decided I really wanted to play it. Trouble was, since I got my new computer, when I tried to run it, it complained about me needing to check my DirectX setup, which I assumed meant that it was now too old to play on new computers.

But! There is a solution After some googling I found out that if you create a shortcut to the TA exe file, and in the properties of the shortcut add "-d" to the end of the file path with a space, the game will run in windowed mode!

Example:
"C:\Documents and Settings\David\Desktop\Total Annihilation\TA 3.1 No CD\TotalA_NOCD_3.1c.exe" -d

I was pretty excited to discover this, and I don't know if maybe everyone else knows about it, but I thought I'd share just in case.

Happy Annihilating
