we don't know. Can you? I can't, But Butter Fingers probably can, he started one after all. DBPro can do Anything, if it has the right person using it, so we can't tell you whether YOU can or not.

A 3d gta3 clone was actually made in GML and nobobdy had a problem with it - so go ahead. (It wasn't very good - GML is suited for 2d)

DBPro has all the features you'd need to make a GTA game, but as said, it would require a fair amount of skill and time.

The next incarnation of DBPro would be better for that sort of project though, with the X10 features like object instancing and the way you can alter the appearance of models without needing dozens of copies.

If you think it takes a team of 60 people 3 years to make something like GTA4 60 x 3 = you could do something that good if you lived to 180 years old

You can do any game type in DBP just keep the scale of you project smallish if your working on your own.

I would put an *almost asterisk disclaimer next to that. I'm fairly certain DBP is not powerful enough to simulate a large world like GTA 4's with its complex models and so forth.

Done exactly like GTA4, sure, but I think that it'd be capable of doing it with less complex models and heck of a lot of tricks to keep FPS up.

I've actually been planning to, I'll start making the media this weekend, and once i go a long quest to find the source of all the magic in this world, the magic will sprout from my fingertips and I will be able to program it (The whole plan about the long quest had actually been an idea I've had for quite a few years now, at first it was to be able to do physics in high school, my teacher yelled at me when I mentioned it.).

Took me thirteen days. I was quite busy.

Anyway, thanks. My plan is put my home city into one 3d space, but only to take resemblances of it so it will look like one. Make missions and side missions that gave rep to this city, like shooting addicts from a chopper bike, do fares around town on a jeepney and again, do illegal fares on illegal transports.

Davao City is big, I just have to take what's important (Ateneo university, Marco Polo hotel, the Shoemart and the Central Bank.)
