I just checked on the warranty of the 360 and it contains the same descriptors as a PC such as:

ATI Catalyst Driver with Unified shader architecture
512MB GDDR3 RAM
3.2 Tri-Core Processor
1 MB L2 Cache
..And more

Does this mean I could play PC games with it?

It may have PC components, but its architecture is completely different.

The OS is also designed to only launch 360 games, and multimedia disks... I swear the general knowledge level about electronics on this forum seems to have dropped recently.

I thought someone would say that.

Now I've a really bad problem. When I'm Playing BioShock, it freezes every time there's a Splicer or something. I opened up a Gene Bank and BLAM! It completely froze. The 360 Controller went of, everything. WTF is wrong????

Err... are you playing the PC BioShock with 360 Controller, in that case I've never heard of this problem, have you patched BioShock and updated your graphics drivers.

Yes, but it has one con - there might be some problems with using it on SD TVs (but I think if you connect it to PC monitor it should be good - the bigger ones are HD)
And Linux on PC is still better because of more RAM...

Make games, not war.

Hehe I really, really have to tell this story. I know a guy, who will remain nameless, who was working in the game industry yet didn't know much about games. One day he called me over to his desk for help running a PSP game, and I discovered he pried open a UMD case and removed the little disc from inside, and had that jammed into the game slot

This is what a UMD case looks like:

Sorry, this just reminded me of that story

I wouldn't bother with an xbox360. I would stick with my computer which can do much more than an xbox

I think Ive got that beat Jeku.

A few hours ago my parents were designing a logo for their sailboat on the computer. They found an image with some text on it in a fancy font, and they liked the font. So they asked me how to extract the font from the image. After explaining that wouldnt work, my dad asked;

"Couldn't you just copy the image, and paste it in google and it'd tell you what font it was?"

That's easily done!
Just connect your Xbox to a monitor film it selecting a Super Uber disc with Crysis supposedly on it, switch off the camera unplug your Xbox plug in your PC to the monitor and launch Crysis!

Then add a few nice edit cuts in Windows Movie Maker or suitable movie editing software and BAM.
Hopeless waste of time if you ask me.

I did something just like that Roxas, used WinDS to play BF2142 on my DS!, looked really cool, but was slower than death. Couldn't do much with it but if they got the speed up to a decent rate then it would rock!.

How does that work? Wouldn't you need to actual keyboard and mouse?

The touch screen acts as a mouse and the controller on the DS acts as the cursor keys, it's kinda like playing a really slow FPS on the DS, except WinDS is quite buggy so playing it is impossible (I can't get it to work with the stylus and cursor controls at the same time). I did manage to kill 1 guy though, same team but that's not the point .

Actually i got Final Fantasy VII To playable stage when i shutdowned all useless procresses (Explorer.exe too) and increased Priority of win2ds server. And tweaked PSX Settings a bit.. Also putted window size 256x196 to fit to DS screen size. It was all playable but still a bit lag.. Its because im using the Connector and my USB Ports are slow.. Wireless would be propaply better. Also faster computer and it would be totally playable imo.

Hmmmmm.... might have another look then, I'd love to get Trackmania or something straightforward like that working, something that only needs the arrow keys would be ideal.

Yeah the controls are kinda akward.. I think the source of win2ds needs a bit modifing to get them work.. Its just because its not using directinput (or what it was called) so all games dont work with it.

Microsoft would be pretty cool in my book if they made a well working PC emulator for the 360. Because I am sure its powerful enough to play a lot of high end games.

A BIG FAT NOOOOO! because of the copy protection. You mod it and it stops working not like the old XBOX!

I think M$ missed a trick by not letting you use official products to turn it into a PC.

You can run Linux on a PS3 though by all accounts but not many games on Linux

The good thing about the un-mod XBOX 360 though is that it keeps cheats off online games

Unlike AMDs terrible quad cores that actually are tri-cores because they couldn't get the fourth core to work, the 360 processor is actually designed a tri-core processor.

I have a wireless router with DHCP disabled, this is directly connected to my PC, if your router is wireless then it should work fine. It works by running a program on the PC then a .NDS program on the DS which will ask for the sending PC's IP address. I use an R4 cartridge in the DS to run the .NDS file.
Not sure if a USB WiFi dongle would work, maybe if it is the one specifically for NDS wifi.

Im using the USB WiFi Dongle (Nintendo one) The dongle wont work by default.. You need to install custom drivers and turn it to soft ap to make homebrew wifi work.

1. PC/Laptop
2. Wireless Card for PC
3. Wireless Router
4. DS
5. Win2DS or Other Simular Homebrew Programme on an r4 Cartridge

was that the one that allowed you to View what was happening on your computer as well as allowing Mouse and Keyboard Enties from DS?

I remember one like that that also turned the DS into a PC Joypad.
