First hello and welcome to the forum

Please do not make double post about the same topic because you are being impatient and want instant replies to your post.

and yes the 8400 GS will run FPSC X10 but not very well you will have to disable some features to get decent frame rates.

If you push it that far it has a fair chance of frying.

I don't think you understand overclocking, you can't just say I want to push it this far so I will, you have to do it in small steps until you hit the card's limit.

And the 8400 doesn't even have a heatsink. That is something you will need to buy. A VGA slot fan would help too.

The cards are clocked as high as they should be without special care. Clocking it that high will obviously need special care (heatsinks, fans).

Overclocking isn't free.

If it can go that high, cards have limits.

Yeah, I mean even the 9800 GT2 only has a clock speed of 600 MHZ and this guy wants 700 MHZ on an 8400??

Seriously, don't buy a cheap GPU and say your going to overclock it. Overclocking is better performed on high-end cards that can already cool their selves. Many smaller cards don't even have fans.

Buy an 8800 GTS 320mb, they are only 140 bucks on NewEgg.com.

And I recommend FPSC X9 over X10. More media, and mods that make it superior. If you are really serious about making games, checkout Leadwerks on the TGC store.

I could prolly get a 700Mhz on this 8600, but that's because it's a good overclocking card and I've already got it to 680Mhz, but try OC'd your card a bit before you say "I'm gonna make a cheap 8800 class card from this!"
