What is the GDK? What is the difference between it and the normal Dark package?

Well, I should have been wise enough to do a bit more research before posting this question. Uhum...after looking around, I came to the knowledge that it is a game design kit...correct?

It's a set of libraries that give you the same functionality as DarkBASICPro, in C++.
