I was looking for some example front and side views of models - like Orcs and Elves to use as backdrops while practicing with Truespace and came across this amazing guy's web site:

http://idrawgirls.blogspot.com/2008/01/how-to-draw-and-paint-chun-li-kristin.html

If you've not seen it before, he's a digital artist who specialises in drawing females. Like the one linked to above, many have a video which shows him creating his paintings from scratch - but in 'fast forward' mode. You can see hours of work in a few minutes!

Just scroll down to the video window and click on Play.

You can also click on the tiny thumbnails near the top of the page then scroll down to see if there is a video.

I wish I was a tenth as good as this guy...

When I saw the name of this thread, I thought it was another "how to get a girlfriend" threads. Then I read who posted it.

The problem I've always had with drawing women is the breats. Too obvious and it seems pervy, too hidden and it's just ignorant.

The trick is being in between, eh. It's not as if it's difficult to size them, shading them is what is my biggest nemesis in female drawings. Although the waist/hip part sometimes ends up being an annoyance as well.

drawing people is usually the hardest for me (unlike drawing other stuff) i always mess up on proportions (and sometimes dimension)

This is really cool, thanks!
