Hello.

I notice the fast growth of the subject "design" in this forum, so I decided to contribute with a funny list of things that shows how sensible a designer needs to be:

In a partially male-chauvinist society, one designs this for what seems to be a bar.

Brazilian Institute for Oriental Studies

Innocence needs to coexist in design.

>_<

The designer should add those circles!

It says "Dental clinic".

After some indexations, the company removed their mascot from the site. This was supposed to be cute, but some people will agonize to know what happens at the end. This is so gross. x]

Feel free to post other examples.

Cheers.

See? The bad design killed tha_rami!
Me, I just chuckled, unfortunately I'm in the library and unable to properly express my amusement at those terrible graphic design choices.

The London Olympics 2012 logo makes my blood boil. Not only is it really bad, but it cost £400,000 to design. I haven't included the logo in this post because just looking at it makes me want to jab someone with a pencil.

Just looked it up.... WTF is that????? OMG!!!!! What a pile of crap!!!! God... £400k? Yeah, reminds me of our old company that used their initials (3 chars) in a diagonal way in black on a triangle of yellow. No problems. Looked fine. Then someone who supposedly knew what they were doing told the directors that it gave the impression of a bee, and that isn't good. So they spend £50k with a company to come up with a new logo. It was exactly the same except a light blue triangle and white text. God. Also cost another load of cash to change all stationary, signs, etc etc. Gotta love making money for your mates (you just know this was all decided down the golf course after another round with the local antler wearing funny handshaking head lord dragon or whatever).

Cheers

It looks like someone broke something then failed horribly while fixing it.

http://www.boingboing.net/2007/06/04/london-2012-olympic-.html This logo is almost more attractive.

I found this one when I was at CERN:

Just don't ask, Honestly for the life of me I can't figure out what is supposed to be going on.
There were two of them before the entrance to the LHC.

Heh, most probably. Or the guy who designed it just munched down a whole bag of space cake.

What about this one?

I think the sign is warning you about depressed people...that guy looks pretty sad. Look at the dejection evident in his shoulder slump. We need more useful signs like that, like ones outside of businesses warning you about the crappy service.

Heh, that would be a great prank...

Lol, I loved the hardcore analysis of the picture.

And oh my... the london olympics logo looks like something my dog threw up yesterday. If I ever decide to change my major to graphic design, I'll be sure to move to london. Or where ever there is an olympic event planned for that matter.

LOL, I didn't see the OGC thing at first, but once I tilted my head I definitely lmao'd all over the keyboard (sorry, had to be the lmao freak here, rofl cakes anyone?).

You all need to watch the movie Duck and Cover. So funny it hurts, and it was a real video shown in classrooms throughout the United States.

What on earth was that all about?! if an atomic bomb landed near you, there would be a bit more than a flash!

Heh, my history teacher once explained the Duck and Cover method during our lessons about the Cold War. He actually demonstrated the method, resulting in anything but an organized and silent lesson.

"If a nuclear bomb drops, duck and take cover under a desk."

Ah good old duck and cover, you never failed us, if only Hiroshima had that video in time then maybe they would have survived... They obviously knew nothing about duck and cover.
