Hi everyone. I am a complete newbie to DBPro and i need to know how to put a text upon a 3d scene.

I have tried using the print command but nothing happens(?).
Why is that and how do i come around this problem?

Thanks in advance! // Elias Frost, Nackidno, Damezean, Wonderboy

Use the TEXT command. The syntax is:

TEXT X,Y,String

Not really that way.

I want to have some text on top the screen and not attached to an object.

But thanks for that piece of code, it might get useful in the future!

You test 4 from 1.
Post a report of a result.
Please post a name of a video chip.

I have tested, it gave me the right result.

1 = hello 1, 2 = hello 2 etc.

I got a new problem, it's kinda like the above.

ow do i put a image on the screen? (In my 3d game).

I am supposed to make a fail image when you die. But it will not show up! Is this code right?

When you put any 2D on a 3D screen the next 'Sync' will refresh the screen and you lose what you pasted.

Try:

1. Putting the Paste Image command after the Sync in your loop

or if that fails...

2. Use Set Camera View 0,0,1,1 before pasting. (You'll need to use Set Camera View 0,0,Screen Width(),Screen Height() after to make the 3D viewport return.

There's also probably a way with the Backdrop On/Off command but I don't think it works the same in DBP as it does in DBC, so forget that one...

It didn't work

I made up a box with the dimension 100, 1, 50 instead. And then textured it with the picture. Works better than i thought.
