****Visual Game Studio Express****
Welcome everyone...
To Visual Game Studio 2008.

"Visual Game Studio is a great piece of software developed by Devilmouse, with help (heaps) from the TGC community!"

Visual Game Studio is a product that will teach the most novice game designer and turn them into a pro!
Visual Game Studio goes over and throughout a collection of Game Engines. Teaching and letting them understand how stuff works.
Each guide is programmed into the software.
The ultimate "Teach yourself guide."
With almost everything you want to know.
So thats the basic outline.

So, now we can't exactly make this MASSIVE piece of software that has thousands of lines of code *and* go over all game engines with *heaps* of help.
-----------
No, this is NOT a team request. All I am asking of the community is to donate tutorials for any aspect of game design known to man
-----------
So if you have got some great stuff that could fit in. Give me and email!
-----------
No sorry, I am not made of money So I can't pay you for your hard work towards this BUT! Every single one of you that contributes and gives us some guides for it, READY to be programmed into the software, will get into the credits of a commercial product.

-----------
In the email please give the desired username/name(or both) that you would like to be displayed in the credits. Or...if you don't want your name just say so and you will be stated as unknown.
-----------
There is a small bit of information about this product on our website at http://devilmousehq.tk.
(website itself is a wip)

This post will be updated over time.

Come help out and contribute your work!

Comments are welcome, also ideas, etc.

Thanks.

How does this supposed software teach a person how to design/make games? You have the most basic two sentence description, and that really doesn't tell anybody how it does what it does.

I highly doubt anybody is going to work on a new tutorial for your supposed project. Your best bet is to go look through the tutorials in the Newcomers forum and ask the individual authors via email if you can use their stuff.

I'm not a real programmer but I play one with DBPro!

It teaches them through video, descriptions and walkthroughs. So they don't have to look all over the internet for one little problem they can just look it up in the software and there it is.
Not to be rude...sorry
But we already have masses amount of information that can help beginners bloom into what they want to be, this will be one of the only programs on the net that offers everything.
We just want to help people is all.
And I don't expect people to work long and hard and write up new tutorials. They can just send in pre-made ones.

C'mon *alot* of people want to get into game design, and this piece of software can help them for fill there career.
Its going to get updated over time with more information anyway...

Best of luck,

from what i saw on your "site", you have next to NOTHING (a "bloodpack" for FPSC...).

you want people to give you their work so you "developers" can help others at $70 a pop? sound about right?

oh, that's right. you're "not made of money", so why pay the people who contribute. how stupid of me.

and, i apologize if i am wrong about the suspicious request here (and, why is it here anyway? you mention programming in everything BUT a TGC product on your "site"), but it IS suspicious.

add to it the fact that i'm tired of seeing people come here thinking they're smarter than the rest, wanting to use the talent and hard work of others for THEIR financial benefit (under the "we just want to help others" guise). this thread comes on the heels of a recent email request from someone here for the same kinda "deal", so you caught me on a bad day. i guess i never acquired a taste for SPAM :/

so, again. i apologize if i'm wrong, and i'd LOVE to see some of the work YOU are doing for this so i can start to be a little more trusting/less suspicious around here
