Hey,
I'm new to the forum. I've been programming darkbasic for about 1/2 a year, and i have a game in the making...

I need to know how to place screenshots into a thread( or the forum section thingy). I was told to click the image tag, but that doesn't work. Also, I was told to load the image into a website and then load it from there. I really want to show some screenshots of my game..."As the Sun Sets:Sins of the Moon" but can't

HELP :-s ,Thanks

Alright I'll walk you through this one by one.

1.) Get some free webspace from any site.(freewebs,geocities,etc.)
2.) Take a picture of your game
3.) Save the file, but make sure there are no spaces
ex.
This would work: pictureofjoe
This wouldn't work: picture of joe
Some websites are picky about these things.
4.) Upload "pictureofjoe" to your webspace
5.) insert the image to the website.
6.) right click on the picture, and copy the url.
7.) come to the db forums, and in your post paste the url, and highlight it.Then hit the image button.

Hopefully this helps you out a little.

Hello,

But which is the command to save a bmp file? I´m trying this code below, but DBpro returns "Obsolete command at line..." (the save image line).

Thanks in advance,
Flavio Bressan

Carlitos: No problem. Always glad to help out every once in a while since I'm usually the one asking all the questions.

_Thor_: Hmmmm, this post is really about getting a screenshot on these forums I think, but I'll try to help you anyway.

The save bitmap command is not even in the manuel!(or at least I never found it)Yeah, it's pretty crazy. If you're on the demo of dbp, you'll probebly get that error. Also, are you patched all the way up to 4.1?

Microsoft: *snicker* Tip of the month-Microsoft will never(probebly) publish your game.
