Anyone seen this? It's a big telescope through which you can see across the atlantic in real time. So, there have been several cases of New Yorkers and Londoners waving to each other and communicating through the telectroscope (by chalkboards and stuff, theres no audio link). Looks pretty cool. The thing works through the internet, and is
supported by Tiscali... although the illusion is meant to be that it drills underground and goes all the way to the other city by tunnels.

You would need a billion lenses to do it for real

It is far better to complete a 10 line program than to start a 10,000 line program.

Would the earth being round even be a problem? Doesn't gravity bend the horizon so it's okay?
