Newcomers DBPro Corner / my DBP crashes randomly when running programs...

Hi all i have the trial version of DBP,
sometimes when i run a prgram it crashes and locks up, i have to shut the prgram down with task manager.
its nothing to do with the code as sometimes the same code will crash and sometimes it runs fine!
its always in the first few seconds of running....

i heard this may be a IDE problem?

i have no idea what an IDE is??

any helps greatly appreciated

The IDE is the program you type your code into. The IDE that comes with DBP does have some glitches and I don't think it's even supported anymore.

Try installing this one, I personally like it a lot better:

If that doesn't help, it's probably a problem with the compiler, which is what the IDE uses to make the code into a program. If that's the case, you should probably reinstall DarkBASIC.
