They probably put it up to test the waters. Perhaps they're revising it, or just decided it didn't work.

Maybe they decided the voice didn't sound enough like the average american so they decided to change it.

Mods don't edit any of the pages on the site, so if you're honestly put out by this, try emailing TGC.

I was about to eat a Swiss Cake Roll, then I saw what Benjamin posted, and slowly lowered it back to the table

I really think if they took it down because of the voice, using a British woman would be far better for the speech. Its standard in so many movies, american or otherwise, for background speech, computer A.I voice, and ... lots more.

Hurley's voice would've been far far far far better than the voice they had. Seems to me like someone has problems with Americans.

Well, to be truthful, Americans are quite large in European satire (no pun intended), mind you the French are a part of the English satire and for Ben I'm sure that's not a wise thing to participate in.

As for the home page movie, I just found it annoying when it started playing when my speakers were up - I'm sure TGC are going to put it somewhere where it can be noticed, yet not plague the home page, or something.

Haha, I lolled my pants. It was a Ren Lollington. I have a whole notepad of these lines.. Anyways I think the home-page movie was taken off because they are..
A. Probably designing another video without the need of Vimeo.
B.They could just go back with the simple picture.
C. Got bored and randomly deleted it.

@Jeku:
I know you don't edit the site, I just thought that you might be a little better informed about the goings-on of TGC than the rest of us.

Lolz. I eat way too much junk food too, but I never get fat. I'm just lucky, I guess.

Yes, yes you are - the rest of us have to watch what we eat more, you don't. Just try not to rub it in, otherwise we'll end up throwing a custurd pie in your face...(at least then there'd be a good weight loss program, instead of eating all of the pies you throw them at people with higher metabolism.)
