Hi,

Will a PCIe 2 card be playable on my PCIe system? will there be a significant slowdown? and will a 8800 GT 512MB be good enough to run it with all effects on?

Thanks,
Ocho

(P.S. need reply quickly)

I believe those are two different slots.Your best bet is to call Tiger Direct (there's a number on the site) for toll-free tech support. They should be able to tell you if the card is compatible with your pc.

it dosent matter, im goona get the PCIe card instead

will the 8800gt 512mb work well though?

EDIT: if i overcloocked it moderatley (not too much) would a retail CPU cooler suffice for cooling?

Yes PCIe 2.0 Is fully Backward compatible to PCIe 1.0... So yes it well work fine.

And Yes the 8800 Gt well work great.. No need to over clock it at all

@ Overclocking all depends on what gfx brand card you have and how good its stock cooling is.
Can you give me some few details about the 8800GT you are ordering ?
