I have recently tried to use a script that would allow the player to go into a trigger zone to destroy an entity. The link is below:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=123057&b=23

I have done everything to ensure the script would work, however that is not the case.

1) Give that script to the entity you want to disappear when the player enters the triggerzone (This would be it's MAIN AI)
2) Give the triggerzone the activation script (as shown in the link you supplied) and set it's IfUsed field to the name of the entity that you want to have disappear.

That's all there is to it.

If you're still having problems, try something a bit more detailed than the age old "It doesn't work" line. Tell us what you did to try to get it to work, step by step. Then tell us what it's doing and what it isn't doing that you want it to do.

Did you type it in the path field, or did you use the navigator button to assign the path?

Use the button to assign the path, don't just type it in.

Well I copied the plrhurtinzone.fpi and then changed the desc from 'Hurt' to kill.
Then I changed the hurt value from -1 to -1000 like yours and it worked like a charm when I set it to a Hurt Zone's Main AI.

Make sure you are placing your hurt zone in the right level of the editor, and not one the floor above in a large prefab.
I don't know what to say other than you may not be entering the hurt zone when testing.
Or your text editor corrupted the file on save somehow, and the fpi might need to be recreated.
Make sure your text editor did not append a .txt suffix onto your file extension when saving.

I don't know why but that just sounded really funny coming from you. It almost sounded like it was needed in order for the script to work.

I just wanted them to know that I had made identical changes, so we are testing identical scripts.
