I've read in the forums where some are having a problem compiling with Vista64, but I assume they are the exceptions and that FPSCx10 works with Vista64 if configured correctly? Right? (see my specs below) If not I'm screwed because I just dropped $150 on s/w and packs.

I just need some reassuring at this point. Thanks.

I've been using Vista Home Premium 64 bit for about 6 months now and X10 and X9 both work fine, no issues on my PC at all. So I would Believe Vista Ultimate should run X10 fine as well.

I have been using it with Vista 64bit Ultimate edition for few months now since it came out as well as X9 and haven't had ANY issues. In fact I have noticed it actually performs better for me than when I had it on 32bit.

Great, thanks for the feedback. Too bad it takes 2 weeks to ship to the US, I'm looking forward to getting started.

Another question is that I was considering boosting my RAM to 8GB and was thinking this should help the compiling process. Is my logic correct? Will the increase enhance performance for X10?

Yes you can do that as that is what I have now with 2 8800 GTX with 8 GB Ram, and Pentium D Extreme 965 @ 4.25Ghz OC running hyper threaded, it runs very smoothly and no issues.

Thanks, the upgrade did help things somewhat.
