Hi, just wanted to know which Model Packs made originally for FPSC are X10 ready.

And of the ones that are still being worked on, whats the ETA?

Thanks

I've read the sprite pack is also compatible, but have not tested yet. Still waiting for s/w. Maybe someone can confirm.

So, if I buy individual items from say Model Pack 3, like the medical stuff from the FPSC store in 1.09 and then I get X10, can I use those items with X10?

Thanks

I don't think so. All the models in the store are FPS ready for V 1.09. TGC will need to release a store for X10 sepreatly. You will need to get the files from the items, and make them X10 ready.

Hope that helps.

Some will, some won't. For example, i'm using the Model Pack 6 guns perfectly in an X10 game, but none of the Model Pack 5 guns work in X10.

Model Pack 7 is included by standard in FPSC X10. So you don't need to buy that one.

Of course MP7 only upgrades the stock content. But since sci-fi is my favorite I really like this pack a lot.

So, what makes them "X10 ready"?

When I watch the tutorial for X10 I see them open up the entity bank for the Sci Fi stuff and the stuff looks the same as mine in 1.09 (white table with metal on legs, future bunk bed thing, etc.)...

Anyone know when the store for X10 will be ready?

Thanks

Using specular and bump mapping. Also, something about the rigging is different. At least I think. I have characters that are fine in X9, but hold their guns backwards in X10. What's up with that?

I also think that X10 does a better job of supporting 1024 sized textures. I think all of the textures in X9 are 512?

So if I were re-texturing walls for X10 would it be better to use 1024x1024 textures or does it not matter (I use 512x512 for FPSC).

And although the characters are specially rigged and mapped, are the generic items (tables, etc.) changed too or the same.

Thanks

Nickydude, you said 16 (the one with the medical stuff), did you mean 17 (Egyptian)?

It looks like 17 (Egyptian) and 18 (Fantasy) are high quality and would work with X10, are they?

Thanks

Uthink,

Not always. It has it's own default N and S file, so you don't HAVE to have one.

TechGirl,

You cvan use any texture size you wish, as long as it doesn't go a over 2800x2800 for X10 or 1990x1990 for X9. I've tried higher than that and it just froze completely. But yes, I recommend 1024x1024 for X10, and 512x512 for X9. And some of the tables in the main .fpe script have been modified, but you can take the template script found near the character folder, just edit that and save it as something with a different name (of course). Hope this helps.

EDIT: I'm sure 18 and 19 are supported for X10, they do contain N & S files.
