Anyone tried out the new Matrox's 3-monitor support (for the superrich only I suppose-- really, 3 monitors? Ah well)? It looked a bit... excessive... to me, but I haven't actually tried it so I don't know for sure.

Quadro's have have Quad Monitor Support for ages... plus you can use them in SLi (in otherwords 8 monitors inline)
and it can be pretty useful, throwing photoshop onto one monitor... maya using 4 (one per view) and then having another for the realtime similation of what your working on.

might seem excessive but alot of CGI companies have alot of multimoitor systems, and most game developers in larger companies use atleast 2

I still can't find out what exactly the nVidia fanboys got sick of . Radeon has been on top in speed and quality since the 8000 line minimum, and they haven't lost the lead yet. My card is fast, powerful, and possibly best of all virtually silent, in comparisin to the godawful racket GeForce 4 TIs make and the so-so loud noise generated by the FX line.

ya! multimonitor is the way to go, you just can`t get anything done on the one screen, it`s the apps makers fault, the higher the computers go in resolution the more they add to the control panels and gui`s, all you guy`s squeezing several apps onto the one monitor, go out now and buy yourself a cheap pci card and monitor, you won`t regret it.

Andrew, that's not a card, that's your card designer . I suggest you look at your product detail page on the maker's web site.

If it happens to be an HP Pavilion 9776C, it's a GeForce 2 MX, which no, is not good. However, you'd be better off than I was, because somewhere inbetween HP---------Circut City-----------Me, the GF2MX was stolen and replaced with a godawful TNT2 (I don't know who to complain to about it so I'm just letting it lie). At least I now have a decent card.
